Join the Kyndryl Consult team, our dynamic Project-Based Delivery team that undertakes fixed-term or scope projects for our distinguished customers. At Kyndryl Consult, you will have the chance to work on a variety of projects, delivering managed services or handing over the end state to customers, providing you with a diverse range of clients to support on a short- or medium-term basis.
As a Custom Apps Architect/Consultant at Kyndryl, you will leverage your expertise in application design, development, and modernization to lead client conversations, support pre-sales, perform application assessments, and develop tailored solutions. You will be an integral part of the Kyndryl Consult organization, specializing in technology and business consulting services for clients.
In this role, you will engage with clients to conduct TCO/ROI studies, present value propositions for application migration, modernization, and transformation, and deliver large, complex projects. You will define strategies for cloud adoption, ensuring alignment between business requirements and IT capabilities, and develop plans for application modernization.
You will work directly with customers to accelerate their products and initiatives, recommending best-practice application architectures. You will drive technical solutions discussions, solve complex technical challenges, and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Additionally, you will act as a thought leader by sharing best practices, presenting at events, and running workshops.
In offering and capability development, you will create application consulting and assessment offerings based on market demand and develop delivery capabilities. You will define reference architecture for new offerings and provide key differentiator inputs to offering teams regarding new technology adoption in the application area. Who You Are
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10 years of IT experience in Application Design, Development & Modernization, with 5 years in application/software consulting.
Experience in refactoring legacy mainframe applications to distributed/Cloud platforms.
Expertise in business case development, application portfolio assessment, infrastructure sizing, costing, migration planning, and public cloud migration.
In-depth understanding of compute, storage, network components, including backup, monitoring, and DR environment requirements.
Proven track record of guiding customers on best practices in DevOps, SRE, Cost optimization, FinOps, and Agile software development.
Ability to build strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong verbal, written communication, and data presentation skills.
End-to-end experience in application development across cloud-native environments.
Successfully executed at least two large app consulting and cloud-native development programs.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Experience in application consulting across Java and .NET tech stacks.
Professional Architect Certification in any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Cloud-based DevOps Certification.
Cloud-based Developer Certification.
