Position Summary
MIRACORP is seeking an experienced Curriculum Technical Writer to support the development, revision, and preparation of curriculum materials and learning asset packages for Warfighter University/Learning Asset Production Center (WarU/LAPC). This position provides writing, editing, formatting, graphics, accessibility, document control, and deliverable tracking support.
Essential Functions
- Write, edit, proofread, organize, and format curriculum, training, technical, and Government documents.
- Improve content for clarity, consistency, readability, grammar, tone, terminology, and plain language.
- Apply Government templates, style guides, formatting standards, and file management requirements.
- Create and edit graphics, figures, diagrams, icons, callouts, and other visual elements.
- Support Section 508 accessibility requirements for written and visual content.
- Incorporate reviewer comments and maintain comment matrices, revision histories, and document control records.
- Conduct quality control reviews for accuracy, completeness, formatting, accessibility, and submission readiness.
- Assemble and track curriculum review packages, source files, supporting documentation, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with project managers, production managers, instructional designers, subject matter experts, and Government reviewers.
Minimum Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, education, instructional design, technical writing, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience writing, editing, formatting, and preparing technical, training, curriculum, instructional, or Government documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
- Experience applying style guides, templates, plain language principles, and revision control practices.
- Ability to create and edit graphics and other visual elements.
- Working knowledge of document accessibility and Section 508 considerations.
- Strong writing, proofreading, organizational, communication, and quality control skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, document versions, and review cycles.
- Ability to pass federal background check
