We are looking for an excellent Curriculum Resource Administrator to join our outstanding curriculum administration support team at Barnet & Southgate College looking after Science, A Level, Art & Design and Media departments.
This post will involve working within a busy office environment and will be pivotal in supporting the work of the team and ensuring that the curriculum area is organised and responsive to the needs of the team and our customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience of providing administrative support within an office environment, excellent interpersonal skills, a solution orientated approach and experience of providing a courteous and effective customer service.  The candidate needs to have effective communication skills, advanced IT skills, the ability to maintain accurate records and work to deadlines.

The post is based at Barnet, but you should be able and willing to travel and work from any of the main college campuses, as required.  Previous experience of working within a college environment is desirable but not essential.

General duties and responsibilities
1. To provide a helpful, professional and flexible service to internal or external customers of the department or the College.
2. To act in accordance with college values and positively represent Barnet and Southgate College in all aspects of your work and comply with GDPR requirements.
3. To operate in accordance with the College’s policies and procedures.
4. To act in a safe manner which safeguards the health and safety of yourself and others.
5. To be aware of equality and diversity, the needs of customers and learners and demonstrate these principles in all aspects of your work.
6. To be familiar with and comply with the College’s safeguarding requirements which protect the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
7. To participate in and take responsibility for your own learning and development.
8. To provide cover or support for other members of your team and undertake any other duties required by your line manager appropriate to your position within the organisation. This includes attending other Barnet and Southgate College campuses if required.

The College will refund the cost of regular eye tests for staff that use Display Screen Equipment regularly as part of their duties.

Gym Facilities
Our Sports Centre at Southgate Campus is available for all staff with cardio, strength and conditioning equipment. The 2-floor gym is free for members of staff to use Monday to Friday within term time.

Hair Salon Services and Beauty Treatments
A range of competitively-priced hairdressing services are accessible at our Colindale Campus. Regularly providing special staff offers which is convenient during lunch hours or after work.

Barnet and Southgate College is a further education college that works in partnership with local, regional and national employers to provide bespoke training specific to industry needs.The College has a dedicated Enterprise and Employment team that works with a network of local employers and national companies to develop and provide training that meets their requirements and creates apprenticeship opportunities.The College focuses on technology and business, offering a range of qualifications and professional development courses at specialised training centres.Along with industry-led qualifications in business, childcare, health and social care and computing, the College also offers facilities to train in gas, plumbing and construction skills at the Colindale Campus; arts, new media, animation and VFX studios at the Wood Street Campus, and sports and electrical installation workshops at the Southgate Campus.The Southgate Campus is also home to our Pathway Centre, which provides specialist courses for those with learning disabilities and/or difficulties.
