Essential Job Functions:

  • Facilitating curriculum development for teachers by monitoring online curriculum documents,  developing guidelines for program and materials implementation, and aligning curricular materials, and technology with departmental goals and objectives.  

  • Guiding and monitoring curriculum program implementation throughout the district by analyzing standards and designing instruction and assessments that are aligned with curriculum standards. Also helps to maintain the CCPS blueprint course for the curriculum.

  • Reviewing and identifying instructional materials and providing staff development opportunities for teachers and administrators on how to use these resources.

  • Collaborating with Technology and Networking Departments to determine new instructional technology tools and assisting schools in obtaining access to such tools, for authentic experiences that are aligned to standards and competencies.

  • Assisting curriculum specialists in providing professional development for administrators, school-based instructional leaders and teachers.

  • Visiting classrooms for teaching support and assistance in understanding the instructional program and communicating with teachers for curricular updates.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; reach with hands and arms, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a public school setting.   The noise level is quiet to moderate.

Additional Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or teaching license required. Experience teaching in or working with the curriculum preferred.

Applicants considered for employment must successfully complete the following background investigations/tests:

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal History Investigation

  • State Police Criminal History Investigation

  • Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation

  • Tuberculosis Screening/Test

Compensation

$34.40 per hour
