Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing standardized work processes involving the operation of machinery and the assembly and inspection of parts.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work in accordance with the Working Manual, inspection and packing requirements.
  • Operates molding machines, air activated tools/equipment, robots and/or assembly jigs to produce or assemble product. Additionally, may be responsible for material handling duties.
  • Advises supervision of machine malfunctions and unacceptable variances in product quality.
  • Compares, inspects and monitors product quality to approved samples.
  • Documents production results on an hourly basis.
  • Meets production rates established for specific part(s) being produced.
  • Performs 5S and TPM requirements within assigned work areas. 
  • Perform other tasks as directed by Team Leader.
  • Complies with all IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 requirements.
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Quality / Environmental Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Follows all procedures and work instructions and makes recommendations to improve the process.  Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances.
  • Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assist in the problem solving process.
  • Communicates and practices DMNC’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems.  Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining IATF-16949 and ISO-14001.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education Required

  • Basic math, reading and communication skills are required.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing environment, working with automated machinery. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required. Position requires standing, walking and may be required to move, lift or carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
