You’ll help deliver a consistent FX offering by identifying client needs and matching them with approved NatWest Markets products and tailored solutions
You’ll support growth by increasing FX penetration and wallet share with existing Funds clients through data‑driven insights and proactive sales engagement

What you’ll do
As a Currencies Sales Associate, you’ll work with sponsor clients to understand their needs, assess opportunities and provide authorised FX products and solutions that reinforce NatWest Markets’ position as a trusted partner. You’ll support the US Private Funds desk by monitoring exposures, managing pipelines and making sure client interactions and product delivery meet conduct, control and governance standards
You’ll play a key role in driving commercial outcomes by supporting seniorisation, derivatisation and deepening client engagement through timely insights, proactive outreach and high‑quality execution.
You’ll focus on:
Identifying, qualifying and matching client needs with the right approved products, solutions or introductions to centres of excellence across NatWest Markets and RBS
Supporting a strong risk and control environment across the Funds FX business
Implementing a client‑focused approach across strategy, communications and interactions, securing clear communication and high‑quality engagement
Managing multiple client requests with accuracy, prioritisation and disciplined follow-through
Representing the Funds FX business at internal and external forums and events to strengthen the franchise
Contributing to workflow simplification by spotting automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and accelerate client delivery
Building and maintaining a strong external network across fund managers and advisors to reinforce NatWest’s position as a trusted partner
The skills you'll need
You’ll bring a strong understanding of FX markets, structured hedging, and the fundamentals that underpin fund‑finance conversations, along with one to three years of experience covering sponsor clients. You’ll pair this foundation with commercial awareness, strong analytical skills and the confidence to engage clients and internal stakeholders at pace. You’ll also apply a client‑focused mindset, a risk‑aware approach, and a proactive attitude to supporting a high‑performing sales desk.
You’ll also bring:
Series 7 and 63 certifications
Strong understanding of the credit underwriting process
Knowledge of Fund structures, ISDA terminology and Fund financing
Strong relationship‑building skills and a collaborative working style
The ability to multi‑task and prioritise effectively
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $135,000 - $170,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus; medical, dental, and vision plans; life and disability insurance; employee wellness programs; retirement and savings plans with potential employer contributions; generous paid time off policy, parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
