An exciting opportunity awaits you as a Vice President in our Asia Currencies and Emerging Markets (CEM) team. Based in Singapore, you will play a crucial role in expanding our EM business, with exposure to global Emerging Markets and a focus on Asia FX and Rates. As a Vice President in the Asia CEM Trading team, you will be part of a dynamic and busy trading floor environment. You will collaborate with Sales to make markets and engage clients with JPM's Asia Currencies and Emerging Market product offerings. Your role will involve providing expertise in market-making, execution, advice, risk management, and market color to our clients on Asia FX and rates products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise and service in market-making, execution, advice, risk management, and market color on Asia FX and rates products.
- Support day-to-day client pricing requests through voice and electronic platforms.
- Stay updated with market developments and engage with clients and sales on relevant market events.
- Independently price trades involving FX, Bonds, Eurobonds, and Interest Rate Swaps across Asian markets.
- Ensure all relevant parties are informed of key developments and provide solutions to business practices and clients.
- Build trust with clients by understanding their needs and being responsive.
- Assist with post-trade processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Economics, Mathematics or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative analyses of emerging markets in a front office sales or trading role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of global macroeconomics and geopolitics related to macro financial markets.
- Experience and interest in client interaction with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to discuss fundamental and technical aspects of traded products and support area functions.
- Proficiency with market and product terminology, including pricing and models.
- Understanding of transaction cycles and execution-oriented processes.
