At Atterbury Job Corps, our Career Transition Specialists walk alongside students during one of the most pivotal phases of their journey, connecting them with real opportunities and the support they need to succeed after Job Corps.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide individualized career counseling, mentoring, and transition support to students preparing for life after Job Corps
  • Develop, monitor, and update student transition plans focused on employment, education, and career success
  • Support students in achieving placement goals while meeting DOL and company performance standards
  • Build relationships with employers, community organizations, and industry partners to create meaningful career opportunities
  • Conduct job development activities and connect students with employment, training, and education resources
  • Identify and address barriers that impact student success through effective case management and problem-solving
  • Maintain accurate student documentation while following all integrity guidelines and confidentiality requirements
  • Collaborate with Career Technical Training (CTT), Career Transition, and center staff to provide comprehensive student support
  • Mentor students in Career Success Standards, professionalism, accountability, and workplace readiness

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Social Science, Business, Communications, or a closely related field from an accredited school (required)
  • Or, an Associate's degree in one of the fields above plus two years of related experience (required)
  • Valid in-state driver's license and ability to meet Company insurability requirements (required)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field from an accredited school;
  • Or Associates degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field from an accredited school and two years related experience.
  • Must possess a valid instate Drivers License and meet the Company insurability requirements.
