Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.
The CT Technologist performs diagnostic procedures on patients of all ages in accordance with approved protocols, radiation safety standards, and established exam indicators. Responsibilities include scheduling exams, obtaining and documenting patient histories, and evaluating the appropriateness of requested examinations in collaboration with radiologists. The technologist maintains expertise with imaging equipment and related instruments and supplies to ensure high-quality exams. Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams is provided in a manner appropriate to the patient’s age and mental capacity.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Registered as a Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
2. At hire, Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required. (ACLS and/or PALS may be accepted in lieu of BLS)
3. One year of subspecialty or general radiology experience preferred.
