2. Developing the knowledge to perform correct scan protocols in an effort to decrease radiation exposure to patients.
3. Developing knowledge of and adherence to all radiation safety recommendations, including patient shielding. ALARA
4. Developing knowledge to properly administer IV and oral contrast.
5. Developing ability to explain exams/procedures to patients and families.
6. Ensures that work area is properly maintained.
7. Developing knowledge of current or new and evolving technologies in CT.
8. Maintains equipment and requests service as needed.
9. Complies with all TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Required
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college program, technical school, or nursing diploma
- Radiologic Technologist License - Arkansas Department of Health
- ARRT registration/certification (R) or (N) or CT (must obtain within one year)
- No prior direct CT experience required (entry-level acceptable)
- Flu vaccination required
- Cannot be a current user of medical marijuana (safety sensitive)
- Compliance with TJC, state, federal, and local regulatory standards
- Bachelor's degree (recommended)
- Pediatric imaging experience (recommended)
- ARRT - Computed Tomography (CT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) (recommended)
