Position Summary: 

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. This role ensures patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while delivering accurate diagnostic images for interpretation. This position will be a float between our Clear Lake facility and our Friendswood facility. This person will work 4-10's. Two days in Clear Lake and two days in Friendswood.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform CT scans following physician orders and departmental protocols. 

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. 

  • Operate and maintain CT equipment, troubleshooting minor technical issues as needed. 

  • Administer contrast agents under appropriate supervision and monitor patient response. 

  • Verify patient identification and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). 

  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines. 

  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal image quality. 

  • Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients throughout the procedure. 

  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Certification:  

  • ARRT (R) and (CT) certification required. 

  • State licensure (if applicable). 

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of CT experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered.

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or similar field
  • State licensure
  • Current ARRT/CT certification.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions.
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
  • Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
  • Excellent customer service skills ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Flexibility in scheduling

Skills Required
