+ Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process invoices and related transactions according to documented policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage assigned Accounts Payable Aging, including prepayments, unvouchered receipts, and vendor returns.
  • Obtain approvals and documentation for AP invoices on time.
  • Prepare bi-weekly check runs.
  • Reconciling accounts payable accounts to vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Communicating with vendors about payment status, invoice requests, and other inquiries.
  • Interdepartmental communication with supply chain and warehouse to resolve and research variances.
  • Perform AP related month-end closing tasks.
  • Assist with vendor file management and setup, ensuring accuracy of information and retention of required documentation from vendors.
  • Assist with Form 1099 preparation.
  • Mentor other Accounts Payable Associates.

+ Qualifications

  • Preference for candidates with bachelor’s degree in accounting or three to five years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of AP vouchering, credit, and debit memos.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Epicor experience a plus.

+ Working Environment

Generally, work is performed in an office environment with occasional job duties outside of the typical office setting needed during month-end.

+ Physical Requirements

  • Interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
  • Must be able to communicate face-to-face and on the phone.

Salary: $25-$32 hourly, commensurate with experience

Skills Required
