The Customer Service Representative I is responsible for providing frontline customer service and performing routine banking transactions accurately and efficiently. This position serves as a primary point of contact for customers and supports branch operations by delivering quality service while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
The CSR I role is an entry-level position designed to build foundational banking knowledge and customer relationship skills.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCustomer Transactions-
Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments

Cash checks and issue cashier’s checks and money orders

Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies

Verify customer identity in accordance with bank procedures

Maintain accuracy in all posted transactions

Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner

Answer questions regarding products, services, and account information

Assist customers with basic account maintenance requests

Identify opportunities to refer customers to appropriate bank personnel

Follow all bank policies and procedures

Comply with Bank Secrecy Act and anti money laundering requirements

Recognize and report suspicious activity

Maintain confidentiality of customer information

Adhere to internal control and cash handling standards

Assist with branch opening and closing procedures
