Title: CSP Lead Sweden & HC
JOB PURPOSE
The Category Strategy & Planning (CSP) Lead directs the country CSP team and develops organizational capabilities to advance customer strategy and unlock new growth opportunities. This entails becoming part of the national leadership team, contributing to advancing the organisation's growth and play an integral role in cultivating its culture.
This role is overall accountable for building the in-country customer strategy and planning capabilities, as well as being responsible to develop and implement actionable, country-specific go-to-market strategies by translating Unilever’s category and brand objectives into commercial plans, channel approaches, portfolio and pricing tactics. This role involves influencing and deciding commercial funding decisions and identifying growth opportunities within the category in the country.
The CSP Lead will oversee performance management and operational planning processes. The role also involves presenting and recommending market development plans to key customers. The CSP Lead acts as the voice of the customer and shopper, bringing external insights into internal planning forums and enabling seamless execution across channels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• People Management & Capability Building: Lead team and manage recruitment and performance processes. Develop team capabilities across Catman, Shopper Marketing, and NRM. Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Go-to-Market Strategy & Annual Planning: Lead creation of the Country/Category go-to-market strategies and annual plan (AP) cross categories and integrate with VET IBP. Cascade and adapt the Category Growth Strategy (CCGS) to local market needs. Set yearly OKRs and JTBD aligned with country/category priorities.
• Portfolio & Channel Strategy: Define and manage the market portfolio, including channel/customer prioritisation and pack/price architecture. Lead range reviews, delist processes, and repack strategies. Provide input for local assortment strategy and channel transformation. Develop and execute Local Jewels Strategy and Portfolio.
• Pricing & Net Revenue Management (NRM): Develop and execute pricing strategy, including RSP recommendations and promo guidelines. Lead strategic pricing initiatives and track pricing performance. Coordinate GSV creation/change and cost outlook planning. Deploy NRM capabilities and deliver all NRM metrics, including NRR, TTI, and UPG.
• Customer Engagement & Trade Planning: Create compelling trade presentations and lead customer projects. Guide trade window planning and kick-off meetings. Recommend customer portfolio strategies and manage trade pricing windows.
• Performance Management Lead Country Growth Connects with CBD and participate in FC/S&OP meetings. Drive country performance reviews and contribute to VET and 1U Europe reviews. Set and drive targets for distribution, market share (MS), share of shelf (SOS), and NRM metrics. Analyse competitor intelligence and external KPI tracking.
• Communications & Collaboration: Deliver TownHall and Field Sales presentations. Engage in VET connects and NRM communities. Ensure clear and consistent communication across stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 8 years of FMCG experience in various go-to-market roles (sales, marketing, category management).
• Experience with customer engagement and projects, and strong understanding of local retailer dynamics and development.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of category business and ability to convert this knowledge into business growth.
• Business accumen in strategic and operational planning, commercial accumen, category management, NRM.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in converting go-to-market strategies through Unilevers go-to-market capacities.
• Demonstrated ability to execute and deliver tangible outcomes, with a strong bias for implementation over conceptual planning
• Advanced knowledge within digital, eCOM and new retailer trends.
