Within the Global R&D Operations (RDO) team, the OPCM (Operational Planning and Capacity Management) mission is to Continuously improve R&D Operations by ensuring integrated and aligned R&D Planning (P) and Resource (R) Management, and by leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for effective decision making.
Main responsibilities:
The OPCM Data Analytics BSO role is a cornerstone of R&D Operations excellence and directly supports Sanofi’s digital transformation. The role is positioned as a catalyst between:
Operational teams (Planning, Resources) expressing unmet solution analytics and modeling data needs.
Digital, Data & Technology teams.
The Business Solution Owner – OPCM Data Analytics leads and contributes to key digital, analytical, and data-driven initiatives:
Business Analysis
Engage with OPCM and business teams to understand and to translate operational needs into data/technical requirements.
Work in collaboration with stakeholders to clarify expectations on the various solutions.
Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements and specifications from OPCM into technical solutions
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and OPCM to understand their data and analytics needs
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on data-related matters and analytical approaches
Serve as the central point between business and Digital/Data teams.
Solutions & Web App Development
Lead and contribute to the development of solutions, applications and web applications (Python/R) using code-based frameworks (Dash, Streamlit, RShiny)
Design both UI/UX and server logic for scalable solutions.
Ensure sustainability through best coding practices, versioning (Git), documentation and knowledge transfer.
Develop, test, and validate the code before integration into PROD environment.
Continuously improve and maintain existing solutions/applications to meet evolving business needs.
Data Engineering & Advanced Analytics
Conduct data analysis of varying complexity levels from descriptives to advanced statistical modeling to support business objectives
Identify trends, patterns and actionable insights that drive operational improvements and strategic decision making
Define, implement, and optimize data models, simulations and insights supporting planning, resource management, and performance analytics.
Build high-impact dashboards and visualizations enabling informed decision-making.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, user guides, and process documentation
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are properly documented for knowledge transfer and sustainability
Lead analytical working groups.
Project coordination
Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and analytics working groups for major initiatives including planning systems transformation and Portfolio workload and capacity management solution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Digital, operational and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions (from ideation to POC).
Support project planning, timeline management and delivery of analytics initiatives.
Communication & presentation to Stakeholder
Present solutions, analytics findings and insights to operations, finance, and leadership teams.
Train and conduct demonstrations of developed solutions/applications to stakeholders and end-users to ensure adoption of new solutions/applications.
Adapt communication style to suit technical and non-technical audiences.
Innovations benchmarking

About you
Experience:
3-5 years of data analytics and code development experience with proven deliverables on web application development.
Strong experience in the language Python or R, and on code-based frameworks (e.g., Dash, RShiny or Streamlit…).
Experience in a Pharma/Biotech company to understand overall R&D drug development, in planning and project management for understanding requirements and work efficiently on the specifications.
Experience working within Agile methodologies or frameworks preferred.
Familiarity with Planisware and data fabric environments.
Technical skills:
Expertise with core programming languages like Python, R and SQL for data manipulation, data visualization and data analysis.
Expertise in statistical methods and data analytical techniques.
Mastering development of webapp with code-based frameworks such as RShiny, Streamlit, Dash …
Strong debugging, data accuracy, and data modeling skills.
