About the Role 

The Conversion Rate Optimization Expert is responsible for enhancing the performance of our clients’ websites by implementing data-driven strategies that maximize their conversion rates. 

This position plays a key role in analyzing user behavior, identifying optimization opportunities, and implementing changes to improve overall site performance. You will collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, web developers, and other team members.

Your responsibilities will include developing Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) strategies for our clients, auditing their websites to identify optimization opportunities, running A/B and multivariate tests to determine the changes needed, and working with our internal teams to execute, monitor, and further improve the results of the optimizations implemented. 

General responsibilities:

The responsibilities of our Conversion Rate Optimization Expert include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing tailored, data-driven backend CRO strategies for our agency’s clients to enhance their website performance and maximize conversion rates
  • Performing thorough brand audits of clients’ websites to identify areas for improvement
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of user behavior using analytical CRO tools, user feedback, heatmaps, and session recordings to identify trends and opportunities for optimization
  • Designing, executing, and managing A/B and multivariate tests to validate hypotheses and measure the impact of the CRO changes implemented
  • Optimizing brands’ landing and product pages, checkout flows, and overall website architecture
  • Collaborating closely with copywriters, designers, and developers to implement best practices and innovative solutions that enhance the user experience and reduce funnel friction points
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of CRO initiatives, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Translating complex data and test results into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for clients to ensure that they can make informed decisions
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and tools in the CRO, e-commerce, and digital marketing industries to continuously refine your own strategies and practices
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of all CRO projects, including test results and client interactions, to track progress and outcomes
  • Assisting in the development of CRO case studies and success stories for marketing purposes

Position specifications:

The Conversion Rate Optimization Expert position includes committing to the following:

  • Full-time commitment while overlapping with our standard office hours (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM UK time)
  • Consistently maintaining an average workload of 40 hours per week
  • Fixed-rate monthly salary paid in USD
  • A 30-day notice period of one calendar month
Requirements
Key requirements:

The Conversion Rate Optimization Expert position has the following key requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the CRO field
  • Proven experience in a similar CRO role, specifically within the e-commerce industry
  • A proven track record of improving conversion rates for e-commerce clients
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, and Convert.com as well as excellent data analysis skills to provide actionable insights to our clients
  • A strong understanding of UX/UI principles and how they affect conversion rates
  • A demonstrated ability to run A/B and multivariate tests from start to finish
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and the specific challenges involved in optimizing the user’s experience
  • Being familiar with heatmaps, session recordings, and user feedback tools
  • Strong communication skills for effectively presenting test results and recommendations to the team and the clients (direct client communication will not be a requirement of the role, at least not as originally intended)
  • A proactive attitude with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Being able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Being able to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • An excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding solutions
  • Familiarity with working autonomously and managing your own time independently and effectively
  • Must have a stable internet connection and a laptop or PC
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (You must be fluent in English, although English doesn't have to be your native language)
  • Being open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism and improving on it
  • Must be available and responsive during our office hours (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM UK time)
  • Must be able to consistently work full-time
