The Private Bank / Wealth Management specializes in developing bespoke solutions for our clients around the world. The Credit Risk Officer is responsible for handling approvals for all related loan transactions. You will be expected to analyze and recommend approvals/declines, or new loan terms for proposed transactions for Private Bank / Wealth Management Clientele.
Additional tasks include monitoring counterparty credit limits, maintaining data integrity for all names and transactions in Lending and Risk Management systems, and ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies and procedures.

Your key responsibilities:
As a Credit Officer in the Credit Risk Management team covering the Wealth Management business in Asia Pacific, independently assess lending and derivative transactions, including the suitability of the proposed facility type, transaction structure, and the quality of the underlying collateral. Collateral may include marketable securities (equities, bonds, notes), including liquid and less-liquid single stocks; private shares requiring cash flow-based risk assessment and valuation; commercial real estate requiring an understanding of valuation methodologies and market dynamics; residential real estate; hedge fund units; limited partnership interests; aircraft; yachts; and art.
Assign credit ratings and prepare independent credit memos based on risk assessment. Make credit decisions within delegated personal authority, where applicable, or submit recommendations to Regional and/or Global Risk Heads.
Monitor the portfolio diligently on an ongoing basis, identify emerging pockets of risk and remain informed about global, regional, and local market events and their potential impact on the portfolio.
Ensure the portfolio quality remains satisfactory, risk concentrations and limits remain within the defined risk appetite, and exposures comply with applicable risk policies and regulations.
Support the preparation of reports and portfolio analysis for auditors, regulators, and senior management.
Contribute actively to remediation efforts towards addressing regulatory and audit findings and help drive changes across risk management value chain.
Your skills and experience:
At-least 3 years of banking experience, with a focus on structured lending in wealth management or corporate credit risk management.
Minimum Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Science, or an MBA, with a strong academic record.
Strong Excel-based data analysis and financial modelling skills.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
