Legal Content Specialist, Manchester office
- You will be instrumental in shaping our offering and ensuring LEAP’s position as the best Criminal Law software solution in the UK market.
- Alongside the Head of Criminal Law, you will identify opportunities for future development and content projects to enhance the end consumer experience, developing and delivering new forms and precedents to improve usage, engaging with customers and other stakeholders to source feedback, and reporting KPI’s to the team.
- Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid working model: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Meet the Criminal Law team
Working within criminal law you know how important it is to be at the top of your game; be the best you can be and stay ahead of your competition.
This is an opportunity for someone who feels passionately that these goals are possible through custom technology and AI. You will be an important member of a new "Criminal Law" vertical which LEAP have recently established and contribute significantly to building custom products and services to help practitioners working in criminal law. As a collaborator with a passion for all things tech, or someone who constantly enjoys improvement and making things better, you'll join a team that includes Product Owners, Developers and Specialists to create criminal law specific products.

Our Content team are the local, regional and global professionals reassuring clients that our software isn’t just cutting edge – it’s world class too. Responsible for maintaining LEAP’s global standards of care and expertise, the team harnesses a deep and complex understanding of the intricacies of law across jurisdictions and over time – ensuring LEAP’s output is always current, compliant and appropriate.
From database design to document management and legal research, we will create a streamlined and automated Criminal Law experience. As a result, LEAP helps law firms help people and make.
What you'll do
- Research forms, legislation, and legal processes relevant to Criminal Law.
- Create, update and deliver high quality automated legal forms and precedents for use by law firms.
- Use of dedicated automaton tools using the latest Microsoft technology to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with organisational standards.
- Utilise JavaScript to enhance the functionality and interactivity of our forms and precedents, enabling dynamic content and customised user experiences (full training provided).
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure forms function correctly with the software, validating data entry fields, JavaScript elements and fixing any issues that arise.
- Develop and maintain an outstanding knowledge of LEAP & it’s companion products.
- Promote use of LEAP products & drive adoption in Criminal Law.
- Ensure LEAP’s processes comply with up-to-date legislation within Criminal Law.
- Attend industry events to speak with existing customers and build strong relationships.
What you'll bring
- 1-2 years’ experience working within Criminal Law.
- Very comfortable using Microsoft Word.
- Experience of case management systems and document automation systems would be advantageous.
- A passion for technology.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); skilled in dealing sensitively with clients.
- A strong attention to detail
