Partner with the best

In this role you will be responsible for the ITO support activity of CREE applications. In particular you will focus on the compressor selection and its validation, but you will handle also the shaft line integration and operability disciplines. This in order to cover the entire system solution and relevant component integration key aspects.

As an ITO Support Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • The Lead Engineer supports development through individual and teamwork.
  • Requires the application of knowledge of materials, tools, processes, and products to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
  • The employee must have a fundamental understanding of their work area and basic knowledge of products/applications upstream and downstream of their work area.
  • Mechanical Engineering is a field that combines physics, chemistry, and mathematics principles with materials science, to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.
  • Mechanical engineering requires an understanding of core disciplines including mechanics, structural dynamics, rotor dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid and aero dynamics, materials science and structural analysis.
  • Mechanical Engineers leverage principles from these core sub-disciplines with computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and product lifecycle management tools to create and analyze centrifugal compressor applications.
  • Delivers engineering and scientific efforts related to new opportunities for customer projects, by means of the design validation and optimization of the Application Engineer proposal.
  • This usually consists of a cross-disciplinary organization executing analysis and studies to achieve the best in class machine and system solution too.
  • Coordinates closely with other Engineering disciplines and teams as needed.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Industrial Engineering.
  • 3 or more years experience in Compressor design department and machine selection.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Have strong problem solving skills.
  • Be fluent both in English and Italian
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
