SUMMARY 

At the direction of the Center Manager, the Credit Support associate is responsible for providing administrative and clerical duties to support to branch officers and customers.  The Credit Support position plays a key roll in meeting the secretarial needs of the branch.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of the Bank's established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional, business-like appearance and manner at all times, including neatness of the work area.
  • Consult with customers and prospects to identify products and services that will meet the customer/prospect financial objectives.
  • Sell and cross-sell bank products and services to existing and potential customers.
  • May be involved in customer calls at the customer's place of business. 
  • Prepare, process, organize and assemble loan documentation.
  • Obtain credit information from various sources.
  • Ensure proper documentation requirements are met for all accounts maintained by the Center.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all required monthly reports.
  • Provides consistent, prompt, efficient, and professional customer service which exemplifies "The Citizens Experience."
  • Other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of one year experience as a teller in a financial institution.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  

REASONING ABILITY 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Salary Range:$20.00 To $24.08 Hourly

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience as a teller in a financial institution
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and present information effectively
  • Basic mathematical ability (add/subtract two-digit numbers; multiply/divide by 10s and 100s)
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks (stand, walk, reach)
  • Knowledge of and compliance with federal and state banking laws, policies, and procedures
