Join us as a FI FX Sales Associate
We’re looking for a motivated FI FX Sales Associate to join our NatWest Markets team in Singapore, supporting our FI & FX business across APAC. This is a regulated, client‑facing role in which you’ll help deliver best‑in‑class solutions across FX, rates, credit and structured products to institutional clients while working closely with our trading, syndicate, research and structuring teams.
You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of products across structured and flow FX & rates and across investment grade and high yield credit, and play a meaningful role in distributing market insights, generating trade ideas, and supporting client engagement across the region.
This role gives you a strong platform to build your network across the bank and grow your market expertise while contributing to revenue generation and client satisfaction.
What you’ll do
- Exchanging market information with institutional clients, providing relevant insights and actionable trade ideas
- Executing FI & FX trades and collaborating closely with the trading desk on opportunities across investment grade and high yield markets
- Analysing relative value and helping distribute trading desk risk effectively to clients
- Working with research, syndicate and structuring teams to support seamless execution and a client‑centric experience
- Supporting corporate and institutional clients in financing activities via capital market products
- Maintaining high standards of conduct, risk awareness and appropriate controls aligned with our Purpose, Values, and the NatWest Markets risk framework
The skills you’ll need
- An understanding of Asian and Global FI & FX markets, experience with either flow or structured FX or rates is beneficial, as is any experience and knowledge of flow credit, syndicated loans, structured credit, MTNs and private credit markets
- Experience of bank-wide credit and onboarding processes is preferred, as is any experience with ISDAs and client document negotiation
- Experience in FI products as well as good knowledge of financial markets and the macro-economic environment
- The ability to identify and monetise new business opportunities, with sound commercial judgement
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across global teams
- A good understanding of client investment constraints, such as duration, credit rating, spreads and yield targets
- The ability to multitask in a fast‑moving market environment
- Strong risk awareness and the ability to escalate issues promptly in line with our risk and conduct expectations
- Language Preferences: Professional proficiency in Mandarin and fluent English are beneficial for supporting regional client coverage across APAC, but not required
