How You Will Make an Impact:Monitor and manage credit risk across retail and micro business lending portfolios (secured and unsecured loans for private individuals, unsecured loans for small entities), ensuring alignment with risk appetite, profitability objectives, and regulatory requirements across the Baltics
Analyze portfolio performance, emerging risk trends, and early warning indicators, translating insights into recommendations that support sustainable portfolio growth and sound lending decisions
Develop, review, and optimize credit risk tactics, underwriting rules, affordability assessments, and risk parameters for new and existing customers growth and risk targets
Drive continuous improvement of credit risk decisioning, decisioning processes, and portfolio monitoring practices, balancing customer experience, operational efficiency, and credit quality
Collaborate with Business, Risk, Analytics, Data, Technology, Legal and other teams to implement credit risk initiatives, lending automation enhancements, and risk control improvements
Contribute to the change of internal credit regulations, governance frameworks, and risk monitoring capabilities, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory expectations
Act as a subject matter expert on retail credit risk, supporting strategic initiatives, changing projects, and management decision-making through data-driven analysis and professional judgement
3+ years of experience in retail and/or SME credit risk management within a financial institution, including credit strategy development, underwriting principles, risk rules, affordability assessment, or automated credit decisioning systems
Strong understanding of retail lending products for private individuals (consumer finance, mortgage), credit risk management practices, portfolio monitoring, and key credit risk metrics across the customer lifecycle
Proven ability to analyze portfolio performance, identify emerging risk trends, and translate data-driven insights into effective business and risk actions that support sustainable growth
Experience working with credit data, credit scoring models, decision engines, risk parameters, and lending automation initiatives
Knowledge of SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar analytical tools would be considered an advantage
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with Business, Risk, Analytics, Data, and Technology teams to deliver credit risk initiatives, process improvements, and change projects
Strong analytical thinking, sound professional judgement, and the confidence to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders, and drive informed decision-making
University degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Management, Data Science, or a related field
Fluent English and local language is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level

Gross salary. 2700-4000 EUR/month, which is to be determined depending on your level of experience and competencies

Skills Required
- 3+ years in credit risk management in retail banking or SME lending
- Experience in credit policy and rules development, risk modeling, or automated decision systems
- Strong command of credit scoring models, risk engines, and decision-making tools
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or similar data analysis tools
- Experience with data visualization tools (MS Power BI)
- Ability to analyze credit portfolio performance and develop data-driven strategies
- Experience working autonomously and with cross-functional teams to implement risk initiatives
- Experience translating business needs into technical system requirements for lending automation projects
- Higher degree in economics, finance, business management, statistics, or data science
