The Opportunity:
eCapital is seeking an exceptionally talented and highly motivated Credit Manager in credit risk management. As a Manager in Credit, your goal is to ensure that execution of our underwriting processes runs smoothly and efficiently for our working capital products. This is a role that requires strong communication, time management, and teamwork. You will manage key underwriting work streams for new and existing clients to identify and control risk. You’ll engage closely with our Risk and Operations, GTM, Customer Experience and Engineering/Product teams to contribute to organizational goals. Most importantly, we’re looking for people who are enthusiastic and driven with a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the credit quality of our business clients, prospects and other counterparties
- Gather and analyze financial documents to underwrite business clients
- Structure new credit opportunities and ensure strong legal documentation and security
- Lead operational client setup and new account deal flow
- Conduct ongoing risk reviews and portfolio monitoring
- Contribute to the ongoing learning and success of the team and the company by sharing knowledge through mentorship, collaboration
- Reconciliation and communicating with clients or partners on payment matters
- Supporting legal, security and other collateral related activities
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, statistics or similar discipline
- 3-6 years of relevant work experience in fundamental credit analysis; FinTech experience is a plus
- Excited about credit and underwriting decisions on commercial exposures to small and medium enterprises
- Experience underwriting commercial credit and performing in-depth analysis on financial statements and other data
- Experience working in supply chain finance or invoice financing preferred
- Ability to communicate and defend credit opinions both written and orally, including to audiences with a non-financial background
- Knowledge of public agency ratings and other capital markets signals from public debt and equity securities
- Knowledge of credit models and commercial bureaus
- Must be a self-starter and proactive person who takes initiative
- Organized and highly detail oriented
- Ability to organize effectively, plan and execute multiple tasks
- Some data query/BI technical skills or aptitude to learn e.g. SQL, Tableau, Power BI
- $80,000 - $100,000 Annually
