Job purpose and ImpactAs a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in assessing and managing customer creditworthiness, minimizing payment and credit risks, and optimizing cash flow to support Interface’s financial goals.
Your analytical mindset will be essential in evaluating financial risks, setting credit limits, and implementing strategies to improve cash collection. You will regularly review customer accounts and provide valuable insights into credit-related performance metrics.
This role requires navigating the complexities of international credit management, staying up to date with legal and compliance standards.
Within our Credit Control team, there are two focus areas: Order Management and Debt Management. For this position, we are seeking a French-speaking debt collection specialist who will focus on reducing overdue balances, maintaining strong customer relationships, and contributing to Interface’s healthy cash flow.
Key responsibilitiesProactively contact customers by phone and email to ensure timely payments.
Follow up on payment arrangements to optimize cash flow.
Assess new and existing customers using annual reports, credit data, payment history, and other financial indicators.
Determine customer creditworthiness and set appropriate credit limits.
Advise the Team Lead Credit Control on portfolio status and recommended actions.
Review, improve, and implement credit control processes where needed.
Maintain and update Customer Master Data accurately.
Conduct regular internal controls and support compliance assessments.
Provide backup and support team members to ensure business continuity.

A salary between €3.030 and €4.020, based on your skills and experience (aligned with our grading system)

Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Credit Management
Strong understanding of French business practices and local regulations
Fluent in French and English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus
Hands-on experience with large ERP systems (JDE, SAP, or similar)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused mindset
