Job Purpose:  

Responsible for reviewing and assessing the creditworthiness of new and existing accounts in line with our credit and insurance policies in order to minimise risk yet maximise sales.

Responsibilities:
  • Assessment of existing customers credit limits, minimising risk yet maximising sales
  • Sign off of new accounts after conducting the appropriate analysis of financial information
  • The obtaining of insured limits from Insurers in line with the Trade debtor Insurance policy
  • Communicate assessment decisions to the appropriate internal personnel and to the relevant customer
  • Collation of information for customer meetings and credit discussion packs
  • Monitoring and communicating changes in regard to the creditworthiness of our customers
  • Ensuring our customer base is maintained and accurate
  • Provide high levels of customer satisfaction to new and existing customers
  • Accurate and timely updates of databases with customer changes
  • Accurate reporting against our insurance policy
  • Management of liquidated accounts to end process
  • Management of the legal accounts to end process
  • Filing and reporting of all insurance claims
  • Assist with Monthly reporting requirements
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service
  • Proactive assistance with the development of relationships both internal and external
  • Involvement in development of internal processes regarding Credit Assessment
  • Any ad hoc duties as required.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role, familiarity of risk assessment and legal procedures in a credit context
