What You'll Be Doing

The Credit Analyst program is a key component to the development of our team of commercial bank relationship managers. Growing and developing top talent is one of our corporate values. It is the launching pad for a career in providing high-quality commercial banking services to middle market companies. The program is designed to provide you with the skills you will need throughout your professional career, including sales, learning how to build your professional brand, and negotiation training. At the same time, you will gain real-world experience working alongside seasoned commercial middle market bankers. You will gain in-depth product knowledge in the areas of financing, treasury management, private banking, foreign exchange and derivatives.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.  You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 4 days per week on-site. 

How You'll Succeed

  • Analytical - Gather, review and assess all financial information and documentation.

  • Team Player and Collaborative

  • Agile - Manage high work volumes to meet short time lines with a high level of quality and due diligence.

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience in underwriting credit transactions for all lines of business. Analyze financial information and statements. Analyze and identify risks associated with various commercial loans. Preparation of credit requests

  • You have a degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting or Economics (Required)

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $55,900 - $75,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
