Manage the credit status of Neogen customer accounts to balance process efficiencies with appropriate credit risk to Neogen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Running credit reports for new and existing customers, performing OFAC screening to identify potential credit and compliance risks. Escalate as needed.
- Helping to maintain credit limits for existing customers by
- identifying customer limits that may be too high or too low.
- running updated credit data and loading the same into our SAP system
- applying formulas to develop updated credit limit recommendations.
- Reviewing reports of credit utilization to identify accounts in need of updated credit limits.
- Reviewing, preparing, and analyzing accounts receivable reports, including Credit utilization, credit holds on customer orders, average annual billings for a customer or customer group.
- Obtaining sales tax exemption certificates, W-9s, and bill-to address information.
- Researching and updating existing account Master Data ensuring Neogen is billing to the correct legal entity, and invoices are delivered to Accounts Payable in accordance with customer’s procedures and preferences.
- Validating new ship-to requests for existing customers, ensuring OFAC compliance and rejection of duplicate ship-tos.
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma with related accounting experience
