This position is responsible to establish, review, and maintain credit lines for new and existing customers that will limit the company’s exposure yet not hinder sales for an assigned portfolio of customers. Release orders to qualified customers or communicate to sales when basic criteria aren’t met. Contact customers on past due balances and assist them resolving invoice problems with the help of sales. Negotiate payment terms with customers who have outstanding balances. Maintain or improve over 60 aging and dso target.
Essential Functions
- Contact customers regarding past due balance.
- Research and resolve problems and disputes.
- Establish and maintain credit lines on accounts.
- Review and release orders on hold.
- Compile data for mid-month and month end reports for management.
Experience, Education and Skills
- High school/GED diploma required, Associate’s degree or better in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related credit experience is required.
- Proficient in reading financial reports and D&B reports required; working knowledge of business and credit law; general accounting knowledge required.
- NACM credential preferred.
- Computer Skills - Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
- Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
