We are expanding our creative capabilities in Santo Domingo and seeking a Creative Strategist who can turn insights into direct-response concepts and bring those ideas to life by editing the first round of video ads. This role blends creative thinking, concept development, and hands-on execution in a fast-paced performance marketing environment.

Position Overview

The Creative Strategist is responsible for researching trends, developing bold creative ideas, writing hooks and scripts, and producing initial video cuts for testing across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This role is strategy-forward — but unlike traditional strategist roles, you will personally execute the first edit of your concepts. After that, you’ll collaborate with editors, media buyers, creative directors, and UGC creators to refine, iterate, and scale winning ads. The ideal candidate understands what makes direct-response creative work, enjoys brainstorming as much as editing, and thrives in an environment where speed, iteration, and creativity drive results.

What You’ll Do

Creative Strategy (Research → Concept → Script)

  • Develop 3–5 new performance concepts per week rooted in insights, customer pain points, and competitive research.
  • Write strong hooks, angles, short scripts, and on-screen copy optimized for 9:16 placements.
  • Create simple storyboards, shot lists, or talking-point outlines for UGC creators and editors.
  • Identify winning patterns and maintain an idea library of hooks, concepts, and formats.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify new creative opportunities.

Video Editing & First-Round Production

  • Edit the first version of your own ad concepts (15-90 seconds), including hook tests and content variations.
  • Use pacing, captions, overlays, music cues, and split testing hooks to maximize performance.
  • Prepare multiple variations of the first cut (different hooks, intros, angles, CTAs).
  • Incorporate UGC creator footage, stock, VO, screens, and product shots as needed.
  • Use AI creative tools (Google Veo, Runway, Pika, etc.) to enhance workflow and speed.

Collaboration & Iteration

  • Work closely with editors who will resize your first-round cuts
  • Partner with Media Buying to understand performance signals and what needs iteration.
  • Provide scripts, guidelines, and feedback to UGC creators and external talent.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms across the SD and Miami teams.

Light Performance Insight Work

  • Review basic performance metrics aligned with direct-response best practices: hook rate (0–3s), view duration/hold rate, CTR, and engagement rate.
  • Use these insights to develop iterations, remixes and new concepts.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in creative strategy, performance creative, video editing, UGC direction, or social-first ad production.
  • Proven ability to write hooks, concepts, scripts, or ad copy for short-form creative.
  • Strong video editing skills using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of direct-response creative principles (hooks, angles, pacing, social proof, CTAs).
  • Experience creating content for Meta, TikTok, or YouTube.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Comfortable using basic performance insights to refine creative direction.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple concepts and edits simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in performance marketing or lead generation.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as AIDA, PAS, content matrices, and idea grids.
  • Experience directing or collaborating with UGC creators.
  • Experience using AI creative tools (Google Veo, Runway, Pika, ElevenLabs, etc.).
  • Motion graphics or sound design skills.
  • Agency experience or high-volume creative production background.
