About the Role
The Creative Intern, Publishing & Digital Experiences role will support The Walt Disney Company's Publishing & Digital Experiences team in Asia Pacific (APAC). This entails support in the conceptualization, development and review of branded content as well as working collaboratively with teams of designers, editors and digital content developers to ensure all creatives properly align with Disney storytelling, sensitivities and quality benchmarks.
Throughout the internship, the intern will gain extensive knowledge of Disney brands, franchises and stories. They will gain a better understanding of the publishing licensing business, as well as the approaches in ensuring excellence through storytelling with IPs. The intern will be encouraged to be a problem solver and a global thinker. They will actively apply design skills to a repertoire of dynamic publishing formats and contexts, and ideate creative concepts for the evolving market, while keeping to the integrity of our iconic characters and their distinctive worlds.
Ideally, the intern should be an artist in his/her own right. We are looking for energetic and proactive self-starters with the ability to produce quality branded content. One must possess the ability to work in a collaborative environment, be a strong advocate of our brands, and have excellent communication skills.
This role will report to Editorial Manager, APAC Publishing, with a functional reporting to Senior Manager, APAC Creative Publishing, and will have many touch points within the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Generate impactful, creative ideas and support the execution of concepts that adhere to the brand vision and brand standards across different touchpoints such as print, learning, and digital
- Assist in providing commercial teams with creative solutions and other requirements such as pitch/presentations
- Support in reviewing artwork and branded content through to final approvals and asset delivery
- Support APAC Publishing Creative team in day-to-day responsibilities, including managing and organizing assets and information flow to and from internal stakeholders, creative partners and external agencies
Internship Requirements:
- Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree
- Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
- Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January to June 2027
- Must be available to work on-site throughout the full period of internship

Requirements:
- Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in design, graphics, visual arts/communication, animation/motion graphics, or any design-related field
- Strong illustration, design, or marketing portfolio
- Proficiency in industry-standard programs and software (Macintosh hardware and OS software, Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. and other creative development software and associated file formats) and Microsoft Power Point and Keynote
- Experience working with multimedia storytelling preferred
- Exposure to publishing-related fields and artwork curation is a plus
- Knowledge in 3D is also an advantage (preferably in Google SketchUp)
- Excellent skills in developing creative and innovative ideas and executing them in graphic format
- Exceptional eye for detail and passion for the Disney portfolio
- Equipped with project management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Broad range of design skill sets and knowledge of trends, branding communications and digital content creation
- Have a strong understanding of the digital space, beyond social media platforms
- Team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility and accountability to the work produced
- Good written, verbal and presentation skills
