The Creative Director at ChenMed is responsible for leading and overseeing the development of multi-channel advertising and marketing communications campaigns to drive business goals. The ideal leader will bring a mix of creative marketing expertise and business acumen, to promote our company across customer segments. We are looking for an experienced manager of people, someone who can inspire others while taking our creative output to a new level as we evolve our brand and continue to grow.

You're a perfect fit for this role if you have a proven track record of both creating and inspiring innovative, effective marketing communications campaigns that both build brands and drive sales. More than likely, they will have spent a good amount of time at a highly regarded agency, working on campaigns that are looked upon as examples of the best of what is being produced in the industry today. You should also be an exceptional strategic thinker and capable of influencing at senior levels and with fellow creative team members, enjoying leading and mentoring creative teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with account management to obtain knowledge of requester requirements and distill abstract business concepts and client needs into refined creative solutions.
• Act as the brand steward, taking responsibility for the creative vision and the standardization of output across team members and external agency partners.
• Have strong people management, and leadership skills in order to lead and inspire, develop, identify and drive efficiencies and oversee their creative team.
• Conduct brainstorming sessions with creative team, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Lead relationships with external creative & media agencies, coach team on agency partnering, help provide clear input/direction through timely communications.
• Prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short and long term needs.
• Ensure that all of the organization's creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall brand. (developed internally and through agency partners)
• Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing or business
• Experience as a copywriter, graphic designer, or production artist
• Experience in project management, with a focus on creative direction
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in marketing or business

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:

• 10-15 years of relevant work experience
• Extensive digital background and understanding of digital tools and best practices
• Knowledge of working on integrated campaigns for national brands
• Capable of strategic thinking, big idea generation and video/digital production
• Ability to create and lead the development of award-winning communications
• Ability to navigate a complex organization with multi-stakeholders
• Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
• Proficient with the Adobe CS family of programs
