ONE’s full-service offering spans Brand Identity & Strategy, Comms Planning, Creative Concept through Development, and Account Leadership. Additional specialized areas of expertise include Multicultural and Audio/Podcasts. The agency has a growing roster of iconic brands from Materne North America, United Health Care, Blue Triton Brands, Sleep Number Corporation, and Kohl’s, among others. The Job

The Creative Director/Art Director plays a critical role in the direction and design of advertising projects, team management & culture, and new business efforts. They will lead the visual development of projects with unconventional ideas and a zealous curiosity for problem-solving while ensuring high-quality execution of the final product. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams and ensure strong and innovative creative output while reporting to the Executive Creative Director.
  • Oversee the development of the creative work of a team of ACD Art Directors, Sr. Art Directors, and Jr. Graphic Designers,
  •  Ensure adherence to clients’ brand guidelines and brand tone of voice.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Mentor and lead junior team members to ensure their growth and success.
  • Create structured work that clearly articulates campaign ideas at the platform level.
  • Process information supplied by client/strategy/account services and translate it into effective creative work.
  • Elevate creative work to uphold the agency’s high-quality standards.
  • Present work and develop relationships of value and respect with the client.
  • Help the agency develop a strong and positive relationship with the advertising community to help recruit top talent.
  • Stay current with the newest innovations and industry trends, especially in the realm of visual and digital arts.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of agency experience and collaboration with international brands
  • Understand the ins and outs of design systems, visual brand languages, & brand IDs
  • Experience with various verticals including but not limited to CPG, food & beverage.
  • Strong Portfolio: includes multi-disciplinary thinking through the projects showcased.
  • Leadership Skills: demonstrates strong leadership skills and can organize, motivate, and improve the creative output.
  • Big Unconventional Idea Thinker: Goes beyond the executional or tactical tasks and creates innovative campaignable thoughts that work across all media.
  • Versatile: A strong art director who can work in film, print, audio, web, and social—with the ability also to lead copywriters as well as inter-agency teams
  • Team Player: Positive, collaborative, contagious, and works well with others.
  • Entrepreneurial: Takes initiative and proactively comes to the table with new ideas to advance the creative work and develop the client relationship.
  • Production Savvy: Knows how to work within budgetary constraints and has experience working with photographers, directors, illustrators, editors, and production vendors for film, print, & digital outputs.
  • Time Management: Manages their time and hits deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
  • Cultural Player: Contributes to the agency's culture and participates in activities that foster the agency’s spirit.

Salary Range

$160,000.00 - $190,000.00

A successful applicant’s actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual’s skill sets, experience, training, education,  licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.  As an organization, we take an aptitude and competency-based hiring approach.  We provide a competitive total rewards package including a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, company paid holidays and unlimited paid time off (PTO), mental health and wellness resources, pet insurance, childcare resources, identity theft insurance, fertility assistance programs, and fitness reimbursement.
