Creative Director - Consumer Print Global Marketing

Description -

ROLE PURPOSE

You are a creative leader first.

You have exceptional taste and a clear point of view on what great work looks like. You can move seamlessly from defining a bold brand platform to shaping the details of execution without losing sight of either.

You believe creativity is a growth engine. You create work that is culturally relevant, emotionally resonant, and commercially effective, building brands, driving demand, and delivering business impact.

You are endlessly curious, drawing inspiration from culture, technology, and industries far beyond your own. You bring fresh thinking, new formats, and innovative approaches that challenge convention, create differentiation, and unlock growth opportunities.

You are ambitious, intellectually curious, and comfortable challenging the status quo. Most importantly, you know how to build an environment where talented people can do the best work of their careers.

We are looking for an exceptional Creative Director to define and lead the creative vision for our Consumer and SMB Print business including hardware, supplies, subscriptions, solutions, and digital services.

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring someone who can navigate diverse audiences, buying journeys, business models, and channel ecosystems. You will bring the creative rigor of a leading consumer brand together with the commercial acumen of a modern growth marketer who understands how consumers and small businesses discover, evaluate, purchase, and remain loyal.

You will be responsible for making Consumer Print more relevant, distinctive, and desirable, ensuring the brand shows up with a consistent and compelling voice wherever customers engage with us.

You will translate consumer insights and business priorities into powerful creative platforms and ensure flawless execution across markets, channels, and touchpoints. You will lead internal teams and agency partners, raise the creative bar, and build a modern creative organization capable of delivering both breakthrough brand ideas and high-performing content at scale.

The role spans the full consumer ecosystem, from brand and integrated campaigns to social, content, e-commerce, DTC, and retail experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Define creative vision and build brand platform

  • Set the overall creative vision and strategy for consumer and SMB print.
  • Translate consumer insight, cultural trends and business priorities into distinctive creative platforms.
  • Develop ideas that change how consumers think about print and what enables them to create, do and enjoy.
  • Establish a clear and differentiated creative expression across markets and consumer touchpoints.
  • Ensure creative is rooted in a deep understanding of consumers rather than product features alone.

Lead creative excellence

  • Develop breakthrough creative ideas that drive both brand equity and commercial outcomes, including consideration, conversion, loyalty, and advocacy.
  • Continuously identify and adapt best-in-class creative practices from other industries, brands, and cultural spaces to inspire innovation and differentiation.
  • Own the integrated creative across ad spots, digital, social, content, retail and e-commerce.
  • Set the creative bar and provide clear, inspiring direction to internal teams and agencies.
  • Challenge briefs and agency thinking to deliver stronger, more distinctive work.
  • Ensure consistency of the brand while allowing creative to flex appropriately by audience, channel and market.
  • Develop creative approaches that work across retail media, retailer content, product pages, promotions and in-store experiences.
  • Build a test-and-learn culture: implement campaign effectiveness measurement frameworks (brand tracking, awareness/consideration, sales uplift) across both audiences and apply learnings iteratively.
  • Explore AI and emerging creative technologies to improve quality, speed and scale.

Build the creative organization

  • Build a high-performance team culture characterized by consumer obsession, creative ambition, analytical rigor, and collaborative execution.
  • Own succession planning, talent development, and hiring to ensure the team has the capabilities required for long-term success.
  • Develop a team that combines creative courage with business accountability, encouraging the people to think boldly while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes and return on investment.
  • Build strong creative partnerships with agencies and other creative partners.

Partner across marketing

  • Work closely with Brand, Insights, Strategy and Product Marketing, Performance, Media, and Sales.
  • Partner with the Performance Marketing Senior Manager to ensure creative and performance work as complementary disciplines.
  • Bring creative thinking into commercial and consumer growth priorities.
  • Act as the senior creative voice within the consumer marketing organization.
  • Present creative strategy and work confidently to senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience as a Creative Director, Executive Creative Director or equivalent senior creative leader.
  • Proven track record of creating distinctive consumer brand work.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional creative work while effectively managing budgets and resources.
  • Experience leading integrated campaigns across digital, social and traditional channels.

  • Experience working across DTC, e-commerce and/or retail environments.
  • Exceptional conceptual and strategic creative thinking.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior and cultural trends.
  • Experience working across multiple markets and geographies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Experience in consumer technology, electronics, DTC, e-commerce or retail.
  • Experience working for a globally recognized consumer brand.
  • Experience transforming creative organizations or operating models.
  • Experience using AI and new technologies to accelerate creative development.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related discipline — required.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification — strongly preferred.

  • Strength and distinctiveness of the consumer brand
  • Contribution of creative work to revenue growth and category expansion.
