Tempo is a layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoins and real-world payments, born from Stripe’s experience in global payments and Paradigm’s expertise in crypto tech.

Tempo’s payment-first design provides a scalable, low-cost predictable backbone that meets the needs of high-volume payment use cases. Our goal is to move money reliably, cheaply, and at scale. Our north star is simplicity for users: fintechs, traditional banks, merchants, platforms, and anyone else looking to move their payments into the 21st century.

The Role

Tempo is looking for a Design Developer to join our team and bridge design and engineering in ways that elevate both. This is an opportunity to bring creative ideas to life through code, build beautiful and functional digital experiences, and help us think differently about what's possible at the intersection of design and technology.

You'll report directly to the Creative Director and work across brand websites, product interfaces, interactive experiences, and experimental projects. You're someone who codes with intention and taste, understands design fundamentals, and can prototype ideas quickly. You're also naturally curious about emerging tools and AI—not just as a user, but as someone who can meaningfully integrate them into creative work and uplevel how the team approaches problems.

Experience and Skills

• 5–8+ years of front-end development with a strong portfolio of creative work

• Expert-level proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (React, Vue, or similar framework)

• Solid design foundation—you understand typography, layout, color, and motion

• Proficiency in design tools (Figma, or similar) and ability to move fluidly between design and code

• Experience building and shipping websites from concept through production

• Working knowledge of AI-powered tools and comfort experimenting with new technologies

• Experience mentoring or leveling up team members' technical or creative skills

• Bonus: motion design, web animation (Three.js, GSAP)
