The Creative Design Manager oversees the planning, development, and execution of all visual and creative content across print, digital, and multimedia platforms. This role ensures brand consistency, high-quality design, and timely delivery of creative assets that support marketing, advertising, promotions, public relations, and internal communications. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, deadline-driven professional who can lead a team of designers, copywriters, and multimedia specialists while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position will report directly to the Director of Advertising & Public Relations.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino’s culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Lead the creative team in the development of visual concepts, campaigns, and materials for advertising, branding, promotions, public relations, and digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and senior leadership to establish clear objectives for advertising and public relation initiatives.
  • Oversee creative workflows, project prioritization, resource planning, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Assist with the creation of press releases, media kits, speeches, and other PR materials.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions with Team Members to cultivate ideas for new advertising campaign concepts, including content and design elements.
  • Hire and mentor creative artists and manage freelancers who handle outsourced creative work.
  • Stay up to date on design trends, tools, and industry best practices to inspire creativity and innovation.
  • Maintain and organize digital asset libraries, templates, and creative archives.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Project management software experience a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of common marketing and advertising best practices.
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, pre-press, and branding.
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking, active listening and presenting.
  • Multitasking and time management skills that allow them to work on several campaigns at once.
  • Collaboration skills when working on projects with both clients and other departments.
  • Data analysis and critical thinking skills to review and apply campaign results.
  • Leadership skills, including motivation, goal setting, and project management.
  • Ability to make effective and efficient decisions when planning, scheduling and implementing campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Graphic Design required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in creative services, marketing, or advertising with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role required. Experience to include pre-press and production standards for print materials.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative work across various mediums.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
  • All work is performed on site in Madera, CA.
  • Requires manual dexterity to perform job related functions.
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for the duration of their shift.
Work Conditions:

Team Members will be in constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.  Work includes the maintenance and care of the assigned work area. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. Work may be scheduled at various hours, including working overtime, and during evening, weekends, and holidays. Work may entail trained chemical usage.

Pay Range

$85,000/Annually

Skills Required

  • Associate's degree in Graphic Design
