As a Relationship Manager, you’ll lead the growth and retention of commercial and commercial real estate banking relationships. You’ll help clients succeed by offering tailored financial solutions while expanding Associated Bank’s presence in the market. This role provides the opportunity to strengthen client relationships, contribute to business growth, and represent Associated Bank as a trusted partner in the community.Key Accountabilities
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial and commercial real estate clients, ensuring retention and growth.
  • Drive new business development by building relationships with prospects, centers of influence, and community partners.

  • Partner with internal teams to cross-sell a full range of products, including Treasury Management, Capital Markets, Private Banking, and Wealth Management.

  • Analyze client financials and collaborate with Portfolio Managers to structure credit solutions.

  • Advise clients and prospects on market conditions and banking trends using approved resources.

  • Present credit recommendations and actively participate in the loan approval process.

  • Represent Associated Bank in the community through events, boards, and networking opportunities.

  • Refer clients to appropriate partners across the bank to ensure holistic financial solutions.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years in commercial banking or business-to-business sales

  • Demonstrated business development and credit skills

  • Proven track record of client management and sales success

  • Knowledge of non-borrowing banking products

Preferred

  • 8+ years in commercial banking or business-to-business sales

  • Strong experience with complex client portfolios and relationship growth
