Job Summary

The CRE/HBF Relationship Analyst is responsible for supporting CRE and HBF Sr Directors, Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers ensuring the highest level of quality service to each client. Uses independent judgement in making decisions regarding loan closings and problem-solving client issues or concerns regarding bank products (loans, deposits, ancillary services). Acts as a liaison and coordinates functions with the Relationship Managers, Support Team, internal departments and the client. Responsible for key functional reporting of the department in the areas of compliance and profitability.
Pay Range: $64,022 - $83,229 - $102,436

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers tasks that support the commercial sales process ensuring accurate and timely processing of all transactions.  This includes; documentation of transactions originated by direct sales and loan closing coordination with outside legal firms, operations and the client.
  • Coordinates and communicates the activities of the department with internal bank partners, ensuring policies, procedures and standards are followed correctly and efficiently.
  • Coordinates and assists the RMs and PMs with loan closing activity communicating with all stakeholders involved with the loan closing process. 
  • Responsible for key reporting including; portfolio metrics, loan projections, pipeline validation and the development of recommendations to enhance those reports and correction of data.
  • Resolves issues from portfolio management activities such as; past dues mitigation, loan exception control and tracking, ensures compliance with procedures, & loan documents. 
  • Process exception management tracking and clearing; follow-up on financial statements, borrowing base reports, updating insurance, and clearing any required document follow-up to ensure compliance and eliminate risk of non-compliance.
  • Responds to and resolves technical issues and questions from clients and Relationship Managers.
  • Manage client service inquiries including payoff requests, lien releases and subordinations to increase client retention and satisfaction.
  • Provides clients with an exceptional post-closing experience by coordinating new account process, courtesy calls, etc.
  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)  Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
  • Minimum experience required: 4+ Years of commercial or commercial real estate lending processing/closing/customer support.
  • Experience with commercial/CRE lending legal and compliance.

Job Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of commercial loan documentation.
  • Good knowledge of banking internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new demands and challenges and work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
  • Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
