As a CRE Market Manager II you will be directing a CRE team in the origination, underwriting, and management of complex CRE loans within a southern California market. Duties will include all facets of production management including pipeline monitoring/management, portfolio monitoring/management, calling support for new and existing clients of the Bank, training/oversight of the credit submission process and oversight on customer service levels both internally and externally.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Directs the origination, underwriting and management of CRE loans in accordance with Bank's lending/portfolio strategy and community and CRA commitments.
- Directs the origination activities of other originators within the assigned market.
- Responsible for the origination/review and underwriting of the most complex CRE transactions.
- Develops, nurtures and grows relationships with all stakeholders in the CRE space. This includes both private and for-profit developers, consultants, syndicators, and other service providers.
- Monitor performance of current portfolio in accordance with Bank and regulatory guidelines.
- Oversees and manages credit files to assure receipt of current and accurate financial information including but not limited to; tax returns, inventory, financial statements and leasing activity.
- Drive the Bank's CRE initiatives. Represent Banner Bank as a CRE expert.
- Responsible for compliance of policies, procedures, security requirements, and government regulations.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science or other related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
Experience
- 8 or more years of experience of Residential Construction lending
- 2 or more years of experience in a supervisory/management role leading a project, process or team required
- Preferred Residential Construction or Commercial Real Estate experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate understanding of residential, multifamily and CRE construction loans of all types including but not limited to; required documentation, complex financial structures, credit requests, tax implications and regulations.
- Ability to assemble and/or review/approve financing packages including financial statements, tax returns required, plans, contracts, regulatory agreements, entity structure and formal and backup documentation.
- Knowledge of engineer reports, spec inspections, budgets, draw process, real estate appraisals, title policies, insurance, flood, real estate taxes and state laws and regulations relating to real estate lending.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
- Advanced verbal and written communication and organization skills.

- Targeted starting salary range (based on experience): $170,635– $230,358
