Position Overview:
This leadership role is accountable for driving ESG data excellence and leading Scope 3 decarbonization strategies within CPS, with a specific focus on ingredient, transport and packaging impacts.
The Director will set vision, governance, and execution for CPS ESG data collection, integrity, and reporting across global operations, enabling transparent sustainability performance and informed business decisions.
This role will partner widely across Corporate, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical, Procurement, and external stakeholders to accelerate reduction of GHG emissions in line with CPS’s sustainability ambitions and 2035 glidepath.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:
- Scope 3 Decarbonization Leadership – Define and implement strategies to reduce GHG emissions in upstream value chains, prioritizing ingredient sourcing and packaging life cycle impacts, orchestrating transport decarbonization priorities ; partner with procurement to embed supplier-specific emissions factors, drive innovation, and improve material efficiency.
- Data Governance & Reporting Excellence – Lead governance of ESG data platforms (KOSMOS, SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP SFM), ensuring integrity, accuracy, and compliance with KORE and recognized ESG reporting standards; evolve dashboarding and analytics to highlight emissions hotspots and opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Partnerships – Influence and collaborate across global functions and Operating Units to integrate carbon accounting into operational and sourcing decisions; ensure plants and suppliers are trained and accountable for accurate and timely ESG data.
- Performance & Assurance – Oversee carbon forecasting, progress tracking toward decarbonization targets, and preparation for internal/external audits (CAD, EY).
- Strategic Insights – Translate complex sustainability data into actionable intelligence for leadership and stakeholders; identify high-impact interventions to accelerate Scope 3 emissions reductions.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Sustainability, Environmental Science, QSE, Data Science or related fields.
Related Work Experience:
- 8+ years’ experience in sustainability leadership, carbon accounting, or ESG data governance in a complex global supply chain.
Functional Skills:
- Technical Sustainability: Expertise in Scope 3 GHG accounting, preferably with deep knowledge of agricultural ingredients and life cycle assessment.
- Complex Supply Chain Principles
- Advanced proficiency in sustainability data platforms and analytics tools, including SAP SFM, ESG systems (e.g., KOSMOS), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Strong understanding of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, CDP, etc.) and LCA methodologies.
- Project Management for SAP module implementation
- Data Analysis: Combine relevant set of data, Identify patterns to drive actions
- Attention to Detail: High accuracy in categorization and risk assessment.
- Advanced communication skills with ability to engage at all organizational levels.
- Strong record of influencing cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver measurable carbon reductions.
- Adaptability: Ability to learn systems like Picasso and adjust to changing priorities.
Primary Job Location:
Preferred location is Atlanta Office or Ireland, CPS Costa Rica, or CPS Singapore.
All candidates CPS based will be considered, any of the CPS location can be considered.
No relocation provided.
Travel: Limited travel requirements, < 10%, to attend specific workshop or trainings.
