In this role, you will need to identify legitimate business needs and intelligently design a solution that addresses that need but also stimulates process improvement.  

Responsibilities:

Flowserve is a very diverse, global company and, as CPQ is a key component in the Lead to Cash process, you will have exciting opportunities to collaborate with associates from Sales, Sales Operations, Product Management and Engineering and IT, offering exposure to business partners and being part of a truly international cross-functional team.

As a CPQ Architect, you will work within the Flowserve business to understand requirements and implement solutions within an enterprise CPQ. A successful candidate requires the ability to master the administration and implementation of the software as well as firm understanding of the requirements from an engineering perspective to properly develop the optimal solution.

  • Build a deep understanding of sales and quoting processes with aim of continuous improvement
  • Understand current CPQ solutions and identify areas that could be standardized or consolidated.
  • Work with Flowserve business to understand requirements to implement CPQ solutions.
  • Design and architect CPQ configurations and commerce flows that enable cross selling of different products (pumps, valve and seal equipment).
  • Participate in the hands-on building of the designed solution. Ensure all solutions are built to scale and work across various product lines
  • Participate in testing and deployment of CPQ solutions to develop and maintain a stable, efficient CPQ environment.
  • Work with other team members to integrate CPQ with our Salesforce CRM, ERP and other enterprise systems.
  • Provide troubleshooting and programming support for the current Flowserve applications running on Oracle CPQ.
  • Support ongoing Continuous Improvement Projects.
  • Act as a resource and mentor for junior team members and work to develop talent within teams that are in different time zones.
  • Reinforce lessons-learned through continual collaboration and refinement of solutions and ideas submitted by team members.
  • Play a prominent role within the CPQ Solution Delivery team as a thought leader and architect during the Enterprise CPQ program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5+ years relevant work experience (Analytical position within engineering or business discipline)
  • Knowledge and experience with the following languages: SQL, Java or C#, JavaScript, JQuery, XML/XSL, BML.
  • Understanding of efficient business processes within Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) domain
  • Experience with requirements and constraints related to heavy industry and the manufacturing process. This could range from basic material restrictions to complex lead-time calculations.
  • We are open to candidates with varied levels of experience; however, we require at least 5 years of relevant CPQ experience.
  • Experience with commerce flows within CPQ
  • Ability to analyze business processes and develop systems/programs to support and improve them
  • Experience with agnostic CPQ
  • Ability to support multiple, geographically diverse facilities
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Proven team leadership skills with the ability to eliminate bottlenecks and allocate work to ensure timely delivery of business initiatives.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodology will be nice to have.
  • Experience with manufacturing and engineering processes/operations preferred
