Job Description:
The enterprise R&D digital domain forms a critical functional and data foundation as part of the end to end business transformation program across Mars Inc. It plays a pivotal role in delivering best in class digital capabilities across Product Lifecycle Management, Quality & Food Safety, MGS Laboratories and Enterprise Product Innovation and in transitioning from our current state systems, process and data architecture, to the transition state and on to the future state. Digital R&D today spans a complex architecture of systems, process and data and this role will ensure a smooth and best in class transition to our future state, whilst meeting all interim and transitional needs of transformation programs such as D30, Digital First and EOS.
In order to deliver business transformation at scale this role plays an important role in gathering, analysing and documenting cPLM business requirements, primarily as part of the phase 2 program scope. It translates business requirements into technical specifications, partnering with the nominated system integrator and this role ensures clear prioritization of the technical backlog to meet the agreed business needs. This role will play an important long-term subject matter expert role in the area of cPLM across DT.
This role is a permanent role intended to support PMO leadership for the program over multi-years. This is a project role for the Design, Development and Segment Pilot phase of Core PLM, funded through P7 2028. As we near the funding end date of these phases, your manager will be in touch with additional information including funding for next phases, including Deployment and additional pilots.
What will be your key responsibilities?
Lead Technical Requirements for PLM
Collaborate with stakeholders from the PLM DevOps team (such as Product Owner, Scrum master, Solution Architect, Software Engineers etc.) , PLM FE’s as well as IT teams within the segments to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
Act as a liaison between business units and development teams, translating business requirements into clear technical specifications. Facilitate seamless communication.
Identify, define and present opportunities for process and technical improvement across the PLM tool ecosystem to key stakeholders including the PLM Digital Director and Corporate PLM Portfolio Owner.
Digital PLM Stakeholder collaboration
Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize PLM and Innovation Systems features, functionalities, and enhancements. Participate in project meetings and contribute to project coordination efforts.
Play a critical role in co-ordinating testing phases
Be a lead in transitioning knowledge as part of Service Introduction processes to GDO and FE Org take-on procedures.
What are we looking for?
Strong experience in digital R&D (ideally PLM) of requirement gathering and technical specification creation.
Experience in digital platforms/systems which are used to manage data orchestration (workflow, data creation) in CPGs
Experience in digital platforms/systems which are used to manage collaboration with external suppliers.
Good understanding of PLM (preferably SAP PLM) technologies and how business needs are met.
Knowledge of digital PLM platform architecture, complexities and architectural patterns and needs (e.g data confidentiality, security).
Ability to think out-of-the-box to evolve solutions and experiences through technology.
