YOUR ROLE

As a CPE Product Engineer on our team, you’ll play a crucial role in this APTIV project, responsible for on-site technical support at the manufacturing facility and maintaining the product design during the production phase

In your daily job you will:

  • On-site product technical support for current production products as well as later development phases.
  • Interface with Global Product Design Centers.
  •  Responsible for product or component changes during the production phase and update products documentation is required (BOMs, Dwgs, etc).
  • Definition and execution of the product analysis process for Customer Rejects (0Km, WAR) and the Level 2 analysis process (complex failures) for manufacturing line rejections.
  • Technical support in the manufacturing processes for assembling electronic boards and modules.
  • Definition and operation of equipment for diagnostic processes and evaluations at the product and component levels.
  • Definition and operation of assembly/disassembly and mechanical measurement tools.
  • Evaluation and definition of repair processes for product components if applicable.
  • Perform initial risk assessment for supplier changes (SCR) for parts impacting the site.
  • Active participation on MRVA process as technical support and product owner.

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

  • +3 years of experience in Product Engineering roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience using CAN, Ethernet, LIN & XCP automotive protocol interfaces.
  • Ability to interpret specifications in mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and datasheets for electronic components.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools and equipment
  • Proficiency in programming languages ​​(development) and engineering software packages, such as CAD, Minitab, etc.
  • Fluent English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of structured problem-solving tools.
