The Opportunity:
- Develop and direct the local operational strategy for freight forwarding teams.
- Set objectives and guide team members to meet targets and performance standards.
- Manage daily operations, customer relations, and achieve daily KPIs.
- Address customer complaints and queries promptly and efficiently.
- Review and improve operational procedures, promote continuous improvement, and address employee performance issues.
- Develop and enforce paperless processing efficiencies, achieve automation, and support personal development and team growth through coaching.
What you'll need to succeed in this role:
- Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Must have experience in logistics or freight forwarding. Experience in shared services operations is a plus
- Strong leadership, management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
- Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement and business methodologies.
