The Country Manager, Switzerland (Senior Director), will be responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies to deliver mRNA products, addressing unmet medical needs. This role involves leading product launches, driving business performance, and building a strong commercial team. She/he will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish Moderna's presence in Switzerland, shape policy, and implement innovative healthcare solutions. Reporting to the SVP General Manager EMEAC, the Country Manager will lead the Swiss leadership team.

Here's What You’ll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies for launching pipeline assets in Switzerland, including vaccines and therapeutics that would meet market penetration targets.

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including government, patient groups, KOLs, academic institutions, industry associations, and enterprises.

  • Influence internal stakeholders on significant matters and take calculated risks to achieve ambitious outcomes.

  • Lead strategic negotiations with senior government officials, pharmacy groups, wholesalers, or other players.

  • Lead the implementation plan of the Swiss Go-To-Market model, which includes logistic, digital, and ordering capabilities.

  • Represent and assume fiduciary, legal, and regulatory responsibilities.

  • Manage issues with a solution-oriented mindset and maintain calm under pressure.

  • Serve as a spokesperson for Moderna in media and strategic speaking engagements to build the corporate profile and advance thought leadership in Switzerland.

  • Build strong governance and processes for the Swiss organization to manage risks and scale up operations.

  • Shape the regulatory and access environment for mRNA therapy products and co-create innovative solutions with government and payers to accelerate the time of launch.

  • Fluent in English and German (additional languages, in particular French (preferred) or Italian are a plus)
