JOB TITLE: Country Manager | India

Overall Mission -

Manage the day-to-day Country operations, including overseeing staff, budgeting, and ensuring efficient operations and administration. Develop and implement strategies to drive growth and meet Revenue and EBITDA Targets Year on Year. Accountable for the India P&L performance & cost management and investments in the area, KPIs management.
 

Main Contribution -

Primary Responsibilities (included but are not limited to):

Business Development and Growth

  • Develop the business for the company to ensure constant growth and progress of the company.
  • Act as a Sales and operational person for retaining and attracting new customers for the company.
  • Maintain and develop effective relationships with the clients by nurturing the relations and growing them.
  • Researching thoroughly and adapting strategies accordingly and implementing an effective brand strategy and ensuring consistency.
  • Make recommendations in the development of long-term strategies
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, maintain equipment to meet quality standards, and implement quality processes to safeguard the integrity of the cold chain.
  • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential new markets.
  • Develop and execute strategies for business expansion and revenue growth.

Operational Efficiency and Optimization:

  • Responsible for managing all operations within a geographical territory - This involves building / scaling / driving / and diversifying a business entity towards sustainable competitive advantage and profitability.
  • Oversee and streamline cold chain logistics operations to ensure efficient, timely delivery of services.
  • Drive initiatives to boost operational efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate service quality.Oversee all day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Establish and monitor performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of all branches in India.
  • Provide support and guidance to the logistics team across all stations in India. 

Financial Management

  • Responsible for the India P&L is accountable for the overall financial performance of the company's Indian operations, overseeing all aspects of revenue generation, cost management, and profit realization within the region, while driving strategic initiatives and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Ensure that the company is making adequate profits and making sure of the cash flows.
  • Review, analyze, cost savings initiatives proposed by the team.
  • Credit Control Collection within the stipulated time and ensuring cash flow at all given time.
  • Manage the organization’s financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure sound financial practices and responsible resource allocation.

 Leadership and Team Management

  • Identify opportunities and risks within the business that may impact the business environment.
  • Monitoring performance at all levels.
  • Needs to oversee the process of recruiting and retaining the employees of the company to ensure that the standard of a company never deteriorates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Train and mentor the staff, instilling a culture of operational excellence aligned with our company’s policy and operations standards along with building a strong team. 
  • Building Company Branding and maintaining uniformity, across every unit and also establishing brand's credibility by displaying during omni-channel marketing. 
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution that will facilitate continuous improvements.
  • Develop and communicate the organization’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan.

Required Skills:

Profile (experience/education) -

15-20 years (minimum) experience in logistics with a heavy focus on Managing Sales/ P & L. A degree/Post Degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or Business or equivalent work experience

Language :

English, Local Language

Specific Experience & Knowledge Required :

  • Good Distribution Practices experience in Clinical Trials Logistics
  • Experience in Quality Assurance in internal audits for ISO 9001/2015 and GDP
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Operational performance knowledge
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good in Project Management
  • Strong Lean / Six Sigma acumen
  • Good use of standard Microsoft packages, especially Excel
  • Experience in cross-functional roles with a requirement to remain independent and impartial and focus on company objectives
  • A dynamic leader who can energize work teams to learn and apply new skills as per business needs
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred

  • Team player able to work closely with procurement, operations, and transport teams internally as well as with external stakeholders
  • An exceptionally good listener, and communicator with the ability to explain the bigger picture and company objectives to customer and vendors
