The Role

Country Lead - India - Magnite 

Reporting to the MD, Asia, the Country Lead of India at Magnite plays a key role in ensuring the overall success of the company in India. The Country Lead of India is the lead of the local business and has top line revenue & operational responsibility. The lead is ultimately responsible for ensuring Magnite exceeds our customer’s expectations in delivering on our core value propositions: making them money, protecting their brand, and saving them time. This role will be based in Mumbai.

 

What you will be doing:

 

The Head of India is the commercial leader across Supply and Demand teams, responsible for creating, building and extending the Magnite business in the market.

  • Develop and implement a market strategy to deliver against the Magnite proposition of being the leading OTT / CTV and full service omni-channel SSP in India.

  • Oversee and lead Magnite’s Publisher and Agency business and team in India, from recruiting to developing and ensuring high performance is facilitated. 

  • Identify and drive opportunities within OTT / CTV and Omnichannel customers in the market.

  • Develop a pipeline of viable opportunities that exceeds quota, and keep abreast of each prospect in the market.

  • Accurately forecast activities closing on a monthly basis using Salesforce.com.

  • Meet or exceed, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets

  • Specific focus on being the direct supply lead in India, leading business development and account growth opportunities in the market.

  • 'Player / Coach' role, establishing relationships with key prospects on the sell side to ensure growth and success of Magnite’s Asian business.

  • Identify, secure & grow relationships with premium publishers & relevant supply partners within the digital omnichannel ecosystem.

  • Manage & grow relationships with existing assigned strategic Asia Platform customers.

  • Identify, build and grow relationships with senior stakeholders (up to c suite) of premium supply partners, particular attention with OTT tier one partners.

  • Research and identify a target account list, kept up to date with the evolving digital landscape. 

  • Develop and maintain a prioritised account list (new and current) with tiered relationship engagement plan. 

  • Effectively understand clients current and future needs and how the Magnite product suite can support their own digital transformation. 

  • Strong knowledge capabilities when understanding the Magnite solutions against competitors.

  • Educate & up-sell existing partnerships to utilize full breadth of Magnite’s Ad Serving, SSP, and Platform tools & products.

  • Partner with Magnite’s global product teams to understand global product developments and opportunities this creates for India publishers, developing a localized strategy and execution plan to take new offerings to partners.

  • Capture and relay product feedback from Platform customer to various Magnite stakeholders.

  • Partner with the Global Partner Service team in activating Global strategic accounts in India.

  • Work proactively with Asia operations team

  • Partner with Asia marketing teams to develop out and attract partner involvement within press releases, case studies, thought leadership, business social sharing and custom events.

  • Train, educate & influence publishers to utilize Magnite Platform on self-service basis.

  • Understand the rapidly evolving ad tech ecosystem for new ideas / opportunities to guide the company’s business strategy and growth.

  • Researches and analyses industry, market, and competitors to make informed strategic decisions that impact Magnite Asia's business.

  • Be a thought leader in the market, speaking at industry events, providing PR opportunities and keeping Magnite front of mind.

  • Creates a safe, inclusive and motivating physical work environment for our teams

  • Provides continuous feedback to the team, providing training opportunities where needed

  • Ensures Magnite runs its entities legally, complying with all required local and regional regulations.

  • Implements and enforces regional and global company policies.

  • Travel to other countries as needed.

 

What We Are Looking For:

 

Strong candidates must have 12+ years of sales experience and have a "consultative" value based approach to selling and 6+ years senior management experience within a progressive organisation.  A background in working independently in a fast-paced, internationally based, growing company environment is a plus.  In addition, candidates should have:

  • Proven management experience leading highly successful client services teams

  • Deep understanding and hands on experience in working in the Digital Ad space especially Programmatic is a must

  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills

  • Strong understanding and relationships of Publisher and Agency landscape in the India region across all channels and formats eg OTT / CTV, Display, DOOH & Audio.

  • Excellent communications skills, be able to listen effectively, socialize ideas across functions and articulate the business visions both internally and externally

  • Engaging personality, self-starter and demonstrated track-record of executing a project through to successful completion

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

Magnite’s hybrid schedule includes two days worked remotely (Monday and Friday) and three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in all offices. Our offices provide daily lunches, beverages, snacks, training, development, office events.
