Job Description:

   

The Americas Region Country HR (CHR) Leader is an experienced HR leader with cross-functional HR experience and business and operational acumen, providing advice to regional business leaders to drive HR programs and initiatives on a regional level while ensuring alignment with HPE objectives. This role is responsible for bringing to life the HPE people strategy in the Americas region by successfully driving the HR programs and initiatives and always ensuring a compliant and seamless operation while providing localized workforce solutions in alignment with the global direction.
This role serves as an advocate and champion for HR programs as well as organizational values and culture. Effectively partners with COEs and HR Business Leaders (HRBLs) and represents region-specific business insights, regulations and cultural needs on the design and development of HR programs, tools, and processes. Maximizes the alignment and effectiveness of the entire People Care Ecosystem and manages and optimizes regional HR budget to increase value to the business.
Provides a full range of HR support and program implementation activities across all HPE businesses, functions, and geographies. Delivers programs and policies developed globally that are specialized for regional requirements and optimizes HR operations in the Americas. Acts as a consultant and partner in driving and implementing organizational design, transformation, change management (focus region-based communications), talent management, total rewards, workforce planning, and labor relations strategies and policies. Ensures HR programs are implemented based on business-specific priorities and legal requirements at the regional level.
Collaborates across the HR organization to deliver an integrated portfolio of services to all employees. Systematically deploys policies and structures established by HR functions while building differentiated solutions and implementation plans addressing the unique business needs, local market pressures, and the competitive landscape.
Supports talent acquisition efforts of staffing and recruiting, and partners with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and outsourcing (MADO) to ensure new employee integration success. Consults with managers and other stakeholders on employee relations issues. Interfaces with managers, employees, government agencies, and other external representatives in consultation and negotiations as necessary.
This leader is accountable for the lawful and compliant operation of all countries within the Americas region, responsible towards regulatory authorities, labor inspection, and Workers Councils. Provides expert guidance on local labor laws and ensures compliance with all legal country-specific regulations to all stakeholders as needed. Is accountable to implement SBC and ECO actions and decisions, provide all the business case and documentation for all the court labor cases and legal actions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and leads planning, design, implementation, communication and delivery of the company's HR strategies, processes, policies, systems and metrics across a large country, region, or large business group.
  • Executes the human resources annual operating plan and budget based on each year's top priorities driven by business needs.
  • Provides consulting support and counsel on matters relating to employee relations, compensation, staffing, training and development.
  • Partners with and influences clients at the SVP and VP level on a regular basis.
  • Drives strategies and initiatives at the country/regional/business group level by exercising some governance oversight in one or more areas (e.g., key policy decisions, requisition approval, resolution of high-impact disputes).
  • May have significant financial responsibility (e.g., budget of $1 million+ USD).
  • Leads a team of Managers and Senior Individual Contributors for a business function, and/or region by setting overall program initiatives, allocating financial and human capital for programs and projects, and ensuring timely and effective delivery of human resource programs.
  • Leads and directly manages a large HR generalist function, relationships.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First-level university degree; advanced university degree in business preferred.
  • Typically 12+ years in human resources, with significant strategic experience, including senior management influence.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, operations and system solutions.
  • Experience in managing rollouts of new HR initiatives in areas related to performance management, recruiting, benefits, policies, procedures etc.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Strong leadership and staff development skills.
  • Ability to build partnerships across various functions.
  • Strong communication skills - written, oral and presentation.
  • Ability to manage complex administrative processes concurrently.
  • Ability to effectively manage a medium budget.
  • Strong consulting skills.

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. USD Annual Salary: $155,500.00 - $376,000.00
