Primary purpose: Fabricate countertops (artificial & natural stone) according to Franklin Building Supply standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Countertop Fabrication: Fabrication of natural and artificial stone countertops and backsplashes to the highest standards under the supervision of a shop foreman, department manager.
• Sink fabrication: Skillfully fabricate sink cutouts. 
• Collaboration: Assist the shop foreman and team members in the fabrication area, actively communicating and addressing discrepancies and special conditions.
• Label Interpretation: Understand and interpret labels relating to the material being fabricated.
• Documentation Review: Review programming and/or template paperwork in detail, seeking clarification from the foreman or programmer when needed. 
• Proactive Communication: Proactively communicate concerns that may impact job completion to the shop foreman or department management. 
• Tool Knowledge: Become knowledgeable of job-specific tools used in fabrication, operating them correctly and safely.
• Tool and Environment Maintenance: Maintain tools and work environment safely and cleanly, minimizing disturbance to other areas.
• Safety and Quality: Prioritize safety and quality throughout the fabrication process.
• Punctuality: Arrive at work on time every day.
• Communication Skills: Communicate openly and clearly with the team members and management.
• Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude, contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Driver’s License: Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Tape Measure: Proficient in reading a tape measure
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor to positively represent the company.
• Team Player: Be a team player, contributing in all areas as needed.
• Attention to Detail: Pay great attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve with minimal supervision.

• Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
• Safety: Ability to pass and maintain proper respiratory device fitment to protect against hazardous chemicals and toxins. When using a respirator, you must take the necessary steps to ensure proper fitment and use to ensure your protection.

Strongly Preferred:

• Countertop Fabrication Experience: Previous experience in countertop fabrication is strongly preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office products for administrative tasks.
• Construction Background: Background in residential and commercial construction & remodels is strongly preferred.
