Nielsen Legal is seeking an energetic and skilled attorney to support all legal aspects of Technology Operations at Nielsen. Attorney should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in structuring and negotiating large technology contracts and/or advising on artificial intelligence contract, regulatory, or governance matters. The position will report to the Deputy General Counsel, Technology Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, marking up, drafting, and negotiating inbound vendor contracts in the technology and operations areas, including cloud contracts, SaaS agreements, data licenses, and other complex technology and operations agreements.
- Supporting Nielsen's AI governance program.
- Acting as a trusted partner to Nielsen’s Global Procurement and Enterprise Technology functions in vendor contracting matters.
- Providing legal advice and support for Technology Operations strategic initiatives and policy, process, and workflow improvements (including collaborating cross-functionally with Nielsen’s Procurement, Privacy, Cybersecurity, IP, M&A, and business unit Legal colleagues).
- Providing trainings to business and legal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- J.D. and licensed to practice in the U.S.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in related practice area.
- Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate complex technology transactions and/or advise on artificial intelligence matters.
- Strong project management and negotiation skills, including ability to encourage, motivate and influence at all levels of the organization to work effectively within a globally distributed team and a fast-paced business environment.
- Strong communication skills in person, in groups, over video and teleconference, over email and in more formal documentation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including drafting and communicating legal issues and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Decisiveness and ability to confidently make quick decisions.
- Ability to be resourceful and solutions-oriented, to “roll up your sleeves” and execute.
- Ability to collaborate and work with others across multiple legal and business teams.

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $50,000-$185,000 which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs
