Mondelēz International is seeking a Counsel, NA Ventures ("Counsel"). The Counsel will report to the Senior Counsel, Give & Go and NA Ventures. This role will provide legal counsel, guidance and support on a wide range of legal matters, which arise from the day-to-day operations of our NA Venture companies including Tate's Bakeshop and Perfect Snacks. The Counsel will provide best-in-class legal services efficiently, timely and in a cost-effective manner by anticipating, addressing and creatively resolving legal issues to protect the best interests of our NA Venture companies.
Key Responsibilities

• Advising on a wide range of matters including advertising, marketing, competition law, consumer promotions, contract negotiation, contract disputes, litigation, manufacturing, labor and employment law, corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property law and data privacy .
• Contribute to achieving both corporate and business unit strategic goals as a proactive member of the legal team and as a functional partner with other business and specialist counsel.
• Partner with the NA Ventures Legal Lead to proactively set and execute legal strategies anticipating and addressing changes in laws, regulations and business environment to the advantage and benefit of NA Ventures.
• Develop and provide best practices training to internal stakeholders.
• Work with the Legal Operations Lead to select and retain competent, cost-effective outside counsel and experts. Develop strong working relationships with outside counsel, frame their performance goals, guide their work efforts and monitor their performance against budget.

Required Experience

• JD Degree from an accredited law school or equivalent international legal education.
• Must be eligible to practice law in the USA.
• Location in NY with a willingness to commute to NJ on a hybrid model, or NJ. Also, location in Chicago is allowed as well.
• 5 years of legal experience at minimum in a Firm or Company.
• Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience preferred.
• Proactive business-savvy partner with excellent management skills and judgment with a capacity to make decisions and give advice, demonstrating an understanding of overall business objectives and the risks/rewards of each situation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a non-legal audience.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• High degree of initiative, self‐direction, and ability to work independently and within a team.
